I'm enjoying AIB so far, foundation year is a little boot-campy but I guess it's alright. Do you have any advice for a Freshman?

Yeah! Don't get discouraged that you're not doing any real Illustration your first year. All they're doing is leveling the playing field so everyone will go into their second semester at the same spot artistically. You'll get to take your first Illustration course in the Spring, and it's a pretty fun one! Also, don't be afraid to talk to your professors. They love to help- not enough students take advantage of their immense knowledge about art and the industry! Ask them lots of things and let them know if you're struggling. It's better to tell them the truth than to lie ^_^
